L8 is the regime that hates a quiet month.
Most regimes have one date a year. L8 has twelve. Every missing month is a paper-trail gap an inspector will find.
- Day 1 of monthMonitoring round
Temperature checks, flushes, descales. Each entry timestamped, signed off, attached to the outlet.
- Month-endCompliance roll-up
Missing rounds escalate to the Responsible Person on day 1 of the following month. No quiet drift.
- QuarterlySampling
Sample bottles dispatched on schedule, results back in two weeks. A positive opens a stop-the-line WO.
- Year 2Risk-assessment renewal
Full RA review by a competent assessor. Action items from the previous RA must be closed before the new one is filed.

Risk assessment
Two-yearly review by default, with manual triggers for system change. Calorifier and outlet inventory captured.
Monthly monitoring
Temperature checks, flushing logs, descaling schedule. Each entry timestamped and signed off.
Periodic sampling
Sample dates, results, threshold alerts. Positive result auto-creates a remedial work order with contractor competence required.
Responsible Person + Duty Holder
Per site, with effective dates. Their certificate of competence is on file with its own renewal alert.
Outlet-level tracking
Little-used outlets flagged separately. Pre-occupancy flush after a vacancy auto-triggered when a site reopens.
Two-yearly RA reminders
Pre-expiry workflow fires 90 / 60 / 30 / 7 days out. Action items from the previous RA must be closed before the new one is filed.
