Six-Monthly Lifts, Annual Portable. Both Audit-Clean.
Different regulations, same compliance head. Both tracked, the competent person verified, every observation closed.
Per-asset, per-observation.

Two clocks, two contractor pools, one register.
Lift examinations and PAT testing don't share a date, and we don't pretend they do.
- Lifts · every 6 monthsPassenger thorough exam
Engineer surveyor visits the lift, examines, signs the report. Defects open as remedials with their own deadlines.
- Lifts · every 12 monthsGoods lift thorough exam
Goods-only lifts run on a 12-month cycle. Tracked per-asset so a mixed estate stays honest.
- PAT · annual defaultPortable appliance round
Annual default with class-specific overrides: kettles every 6 months, static IT every 24, ad-hoc on new equipment.
- Imminent dangerStop-the-line
Any examination with an imminent-danger finding isolates the asset within seconds, independent of the next scheduled visit.
Two regimes, one tidy register.
LOLER thorough examinations
Six-monthly for passenger lifts, 12-monthly for goods/non-personnel. Per-asset cycle so a mixed estate stays accurate.
PAT testing
Annual default, with asset-class overrides (kettles vs static IT) and ad-hoc checks for new equipment.
Competent-person verification
LOLER examinations require a 'competent person', typically a CompEx-listed engineer. We hold their certificate, verify it at upload.
Observations & defects
Imminent-danger findings stop the lift / isolate the appliance immediately. Lesser findings tracked through to remedial sign-off.
Per-asset history
Each lift and PAT-tracked appliance has its own timeline: every examination, every defect, every remedial.
Pre-expiry workflow
90 / 60 / 30 / 7-day warnings, contractor pool surfaced with the relevant competence verified.
Other Statutory Regimes.
